 1-1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs

1/4 c sugar

1/3 cup melted margarine

Mix and press in 9x13 pan.  Bake at 350 for 10 minutes  cool slightly

1 8z cream cheese, softened

1/4 sugar

2 T milk

1 8 oz cool whip

beat cream cheese, sugar, milk til smooth

fold in half the cool whip

spread over crust

2 4-oz INSTANT CHOCOLATE PUDDING

3-1/2 cup cold milk

prepared pudding as box directs.  pour over cream cheese layer.  Chill several hours

Spread remaining cool whip over pudding

Garnish with graded chocolate and/or chopped nuts

Chicken Carbonara

12 oz. Fettuccine 

4 slices bacon 

3 cloves garlic, minced 

1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips 

Kosher salt 

Freshly ground black pepper 

4 large eggs, beaten 

3/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan, plus more for garnish 

1/3 c. freshly chopped parsley, plus more for garnish 

 

1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.  

2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until bacon is crispy, 2 to 3 minutes more. Transfer to a bowl and drain half the fat in skillet. 

3. Add chicken to skillet and increase heat to medium-high. Season generously with salt and pepper and cook, flipping halfway through, until no longer pink, 10 minutes.Step 4 

4. Reduce heat to low and return bacon to skillet. Toss, then add cooked pasta and toss until combined. 

5. In a small bowl, beat together eggs, Parmesan, and parsley and season with salt and pepper.Step 6Pour egg mixture over pasta and toss until coated, then add a couple tablespoons pasta water until creamy. (Add more pasta water by the tablespoonful as necessary.) 

6. Garnish with Parmesan and parsley and serve immediately.

Marcia Hassel's chicken Noodle soup

 3 whole chicken legs with skin removed

chicken brouth

sliced celery and onion

thick chunks carrots

Mrs. Miller's Klusha noodles

Place the chicken legs and chicken stock in a slow cooker, on low for 6 hours.  It's done when you pull out a bone and there's no meat on it.

Place chicken on a place, cool and cut into huge chunks.

place the celery and onion in chicken broth in a pan of chicken brother and barely simmer for 1 hour.  Add the carrots for the last 30 minutes.

Put all together and add the dry noodles and cook til they are cooked, NOT AL DENTE.

Slow cook for another house.  

Skim off the fat especially if you are making it one day and it cools to eat the next.
