English Muffins in a Loaf

 2 T Fleischmann's active dry yeast

6 cup unsifted flour

1 T sugar

2 t salt

2 c milk

1/4 t baking soda

1/2 c water

cornmeal

Combine 3 C flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and soda. Heat liquids til very warm.  Add to dry mixture. Beat well. Stir in the rest of the flour to make a stiff batter.

Spoom into 8-1/2 x 4-1/2" pans that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal.


Cover; let rise in warm place 45 minutes.  Bake at 400 for 25 minutes.  Remove from pans immediately and cool

Nooks and crannies inside and crusty outside for tasting.
